Introduction of Solid State Drive:-

Solid State Drive is used for storing the digital data

and it is much faster than Hard disk drive. It stores the data in the form of Capacitors and Transistors.

It is non-volatile storage memory.SSDs are costlier than HDD.

SSDs are basically classified into two factors

1. Memory Chip

2. Interface

Types of Solid State Drives (SSD)

1. SATA SSD

2. PCIe SSD

3. M.2 SSD

4. U.2 SSD

5. NVMe SSD

1) SATA SSD

  Serial Advance Technology Attachment Solid State Drive (SATA SSD)

  it is type of solid state drive which uses SATA Hardware Interface

  to Communicate with the processor to store the digital data processed by processor

  

2) PCIe SSD

  Peripheral Component Interconnect Express 

  It is a type of solid state drive which uses PCIe Bus to Communicate with the processor and to store the digital data processed by processor

3) M.2 SSD

 M.2 is also belongs to one of the classification of Solid state drive.It uses M.2 Hardware Interface to Communicate with the processor and to store the digital data processed by processor

  And also M.2 SSD is smaller than 2.5 inch SSDs, it doesnt need a connector to connect to the         Interface Of ssd

It can be directly connected to SSD interface 

4) U.2 SSD

 It is a type of SSD.A U.2 SSD with U.2 interface and they're typically thicker than 2.5 inch SSDs and Hard drives

 It has higher storage capacity than M.2 SSDs. It has 4TB+ compared to 2TB maximum from most M.2 SSDs

5) NVMe SSD

  Non Volatile Memory Express 

  It is a type of solid state drive which uses NVME Bus, Hardware Interface to Communicate with the      processor and to store the digital data processed by processor

  NVME SSDs are normally faster than SATA SSDs
